Getting Started

Welcome to Teach Us the Bible's Ministry Edition. This guide walks you through everything you need to get your ministry up and running — from your first login to having parents sign up for the parent portal.

What Is Teach Us the Bible?

Teach Us the Bible is a chronological Bible curriculum platform for children's ministry. It gives your teaching team one place to find lesson plans, prep materials, and reinforcement activities — and gives parents a window into what their kids are learning each week.

As a Ministry Edition subscriber, you're the administrator for your church's account. You control who has access, what the schedule looks like, and how your team communicates.

Your Dashboard

When you log in, you'll land on your dashboard — your home base. From here you can see:

  • Your upcoming lesson schedule
  • Quick links to common admin tasks (Email Teachers, Add a User, Parent Access, Change Lesson Schedule)
  • Any feedback prompts if your team has recently used activities

The navigation menu (top right) gives you access to everything else. As a Ministry Administrator, you'll see a Tools and Settings section that regular teachers don't have.

First Steps

Here's the recommended order to get everything set up. Each step links to a full help article.

1

Set Your Lesson Schedule

Tell the platform which lessons your ministry is teaching and when. This drives everything — the homepage schedule your teachers see, what parents see in the parent portal, and what gets included in teacher emails.

2

Add Your Teaching Team

Create accounts for each of your teachers. They'll be able to log in, view lessons and activities, rate activities, and receive teacher emails.

3

Set Up the Parent Portal Optional

Generate an invite link and share it with parents. They create their own free account and can see the lesson schedule and access each week's parent page — without needing a teacher login.

4

Connect Planning Center Optional

If your church uses Planning Center, connect your account to import service teams directly when sending teacher emails. No more manual recipient lists.
