The lesson schedule tells your team — and parents — exactly which lessons are coming up and when. You can plan weeks or months in advance, handle holidays, and run alternating schedules across multiple services.
Each entry on the lesson schedule pairs a date with a lesson from the curriculum. You can schedule lessons for one service at a time if you run multiple services (e.g. 9am and 11am), and you can assign different lessons to each service or alternate the same lesson sequence between them.
Once scheduled, the upcoming lessons appear on your team's dashboard homepage, in teacher emails, and in the parent portal.
Go to Lesson Schedule in your Settings menu. Pick a date, select a lesson from the dropdown, and hit Save. Repeat for as many weeks as you'd like to plan ahead.
You can also leave a schedule note for any date — useful for holidays, special services, or reminders like "bring props today."
If your ministry runs more than one service (for example, a 9am and an 11am), you can maintain separate lesson schedules for each one. Use the Change Service button at the top of the lesson schedule page to switch between services and edit each independently.
The example below walks through setting up two services that alternate lessons — a common setup for ministries that want every child to hear every lesson regardless of which service they attend.
Set up services to alternate lessons
Go to Ministry Settings to set up your Services. Enable "Alternate lessons with another service?" on both services.
Set a schedule for your first service
Go to Lesson Schedule and fill in dates for your first service. Notice how lessons skip by 2 — the platform reserves alternating lessons for the second service automatically.
Check your new schedule
Back on the Lessons home page, you'll see the updated schedule. Regular teachers see their service's upcoming lessons. As an admin, you'll also see the full all-services overview.
Need to override your regular schedule for a holiday, special event, or week off? Head to Lesson Schedule and change the lesson assigned to any date. You can:
