Managing Your Subscription

Your Ministry Edition subscription gives your whole church access to the full curriculum platform. You can view your current plan, update billing details, switch plans, and cancel — all from one place.

Go to Manage Your Plan — accessible from the expiry banner at the top of your screen, or directly at teachusthebible.com/renew.php. Ministry Administrators only.

The Manage Your Plan Page

This page shows your current subscription status and gives you a single button to take action on it. What you see depends on the state of your subscription:

Active or Trial

Your subscription is in good standing and will auto-renew on the date shown. The Manage Your Subscription button takes you to the Stripe Billing Portal to update payment details, switch plans, or cancel.

Canceled

Your subscription has been canceled. You'll have full access until the end date shown — after that, teacher logins will stop working. The Reactivate Subscription button lets you start a new subscription.

Past Due

A recent payment attempt failed. Use the Update Payment Method button to fix your billing information before access is interrupted.

No Subscription

No active subscription on file. You can start a new one by selecting a plan and clicking Start a Subscription.

Below the action button, the page also shows your full Subscription History — a table of every plan period, its start and end dates, price, and status.

The Stripe Billing Portal

Clicking Manage Your Subscription (when you have an active subscription) opens the Stripe Billing Portal — a secure page hosted by Stripe where you can:

  • Update your payment method — replace a credit card that's expiring or was declined
  • Switch plans — upgrade or downgrade between available billing options (e.g. monthly to annual)
  • Cancel your subscription — stops automatic renewal; access continues until the current period ends
  • View past invoices — download receipts for any previous payment

After making changes in the Billing Portal, you'll be returned to the Manage Your Plan page automatically.

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel, go to Manage Your PlanManage Your Subscription → cancel from the Stripe Billing Portal. Your subscription will not renew at the next billing date, but access remains active until the end of the current period — you won't lose access immediately.

If you cancel and change your mind before the period ends, click Reactivate Subscription on the Manage Your Plan page to start a new subscription.

Expiry Warning

When your subscription is within 7 days of expiring, a warning banner appears at the top of every page for Ministry Administrators. It includes a direct Renew Your Subscription button. Regular teachers see a message asking them to contact their admin.

If your subscription expires, teachers will no longer be able to log in. Renewing restores access immediately.
